This was our 2nd stat at Windsor #2604 - about 2 months in early 2020 and for 33 days at the end of 2022. You can tell we were fully satisfied with the unit from the fact that we came back and chose this specific unit.
This is very spacious and comfortable for 2 kids (5 and 3 year old boys) and 4 adults (parents + grannies). Very well maintained and I did notice a couple of new furnitures this time, so it seems that the owner is willing to invest in the unit to keep the quality.
The Windsor is one of the better maintained condos I think, definitely the best among the 3 or 4 that I stayed in the area. A short walk to Hilton Village, my kids’ favorite place, and also very convenient to get to Ala Moana and other shopping venues.
I think this is a perfect one for family vacation. For my family, it’s now default that we are staying in this unit whenever we go to Hawaii (if available).
Only minor thing to note is the refrigerator was fine back in 2020 and still worked okay this time, but it seems that it’s nearing its lifecycle, so the management may want to take a look at it.
Very nice condo. Spacious walk in closet. Very nice views from the unit. Kitchen was fine. they didn't have a blender and only one wine glass. Very spacious. My husband and I were the only 2 in the unit and didn't need 2 1/2 bathrooms and 2 bedrooms, but appreciated the space.
The building was in good shape. People were very friendly. The rooftop was lovely. We were there almost every night for dinner, sunset, and Friday night fireworks. Pool was good. They had just put in a new gym when we arrived. Very nice!
We have the condo reserved again for 2 months in December. Will go back again if we don't move there!
My family stayed at #2604 for over a month. This is a lovely unit, it has 2 levels and a very open floor plan. It is very comfortable, well maintained, and feels like a home away from home.
The kitchen has a great selection of appliances (toaster, blender, rice cooker, crock pot, and more). Lots of cookware and counter space so its easy to cook your own meals. The upstairs eating area and living room are spacious. Nice west facing views of Waikiki, Ala Moana, and the sunset.
The 2 bedrooms are downstairs. Both very spacious, with large walk in closets and separate bathrooms. Makes a trip with kids very comfortable. Also like the second living area / office that separates the bedrooms.
There was an ample amount of towels and bedding. The washer / dryer and 3rd bathroom are convenient. The Windsor is located in a much quieter part of Waikiki, but still able to walk to all nearby areas easily. The Windsor building is well maintained with a nice pool and roof top patio. They just put in a brand new gym in the condo with very nice equipment. There is a smith machine / squat rack, 2 20kg barbells, plates, 2 sets of 5-50lb dumbbells, and some nice cable based machines.
We will definitely stay here again.
I would go along with Tamara's review in every respect. We were a party of 4 adults (2 couples, elderly and middle-aged), so the split floors gave us all ample privacy even as the huge living room allowed us to relax together at mealtimes and so on, and the equally huge kitchen made it possible for us all to muck in together when preparing food. Whenever there was a problem (there weren't many), HVP were there immediately to sort it out for us. Security in the condominium was superb too - far better than in any other places we've stayed at: you have to go through 3 layers of security (outside gate, inside door, elevator key) + a concierge's desk, before you can get anywhere near the apartment. Location was great too -- a short walk to the Ala Moana Centre and the beach, and a short bus ride to Waikiki, plus the car park was free (unlike most hotel car parks). The property is spotlessly clean, and all the basic amenities are there so you don't have to go out to do basic shopping before you can start your holiday, as is so often the case. We shopped at Costco and cooked at home most days to save on food costs (the big kitchen was a great help), but there are restaurants galore in the neighborhood, and a Food Court at Ala Moana, so you never have to worry about where you're going to eat. Other facilities (spa, gym, pool, rooftop terrace etc.) were always kept clean and tidy. All in all, we were really sorry to go home at the end of our 1-month stay at 2604 The Windsor. All of us are dying to do it again! Thanks to everyone at HVP, and, of course, to the owner of the property, for enabling us to enjoy a perfect stay. I hope others will enjoy it as much as we did.
We have just returned home from spending six weeks at #2604. We found this place perfect for our family of two adults and two children (1 and 3) and would absolutely recommend it to others, as well as return in the future.
The apartment is really spacious and fully equipped so it was easy to hit the ground running as soon as we arrived without having to buy anything much immediately, as you might expect to when arriving for a month and a half stay.
The apartment building is clean, well staffed and very secure. All the facilities (pool, gym, rooftop terrace, spa area etc ) were always clean and really tidy.
Towards the end of our stay there was an issue with the fridge/freezer when it stopped cooling. The owners of the apartment immediately authorised HVP to purchase a new one so we weren't inconvenienced at all, and HVP were very expeditious at sourcing this and having it installed, overseeing the whole process.
The location of the apartment was perfect for us, very handy to Ala Moana shopping centre, maybe a 10-15 minute walk (our 3 year old did the return trip without any trouble, even in the heat!), as well as a minute or two walk from the bus stops going both directions. There were a number of restaurants and bars in the surrounding area so easy to pop out for something to eat after a day at the beach. It was also just a short stroll to the beach. All in all I couldn't fault the location.
HVP were fantastic to deal with, from the initial meet and greet when we arrived to calling to make sure everything was going ok, and following up after the fridge/freezer issue. I would definitely book through them if we want a rental in the future.
Finally, I spent FOREVER searching different properties and rental companies and comparing and re-comparing before booking #2604 and am confident we got the pick of the bunch. A PERFECT STAY. Hope you book this property and enjoy it as much as we did!
The Windsor is a very nice building. Would be nice if the pool and hot tub were on same floor. Also can use more bbqs.
The apartment was clean, bright, not cocked by the sun, large, quite, and very comfortable.
We enjoyed our stay but would not book it again due to the 2 levels - too many stairs.
Some repairs were required on our arrival - AC, shower head, bathtub faucet, but were repaired right away. HVP are most a accommodating.
Overall we had a very enjoyable stay
I seldom say this but I LOVE Hawaii Vacation Properties. This is an organization that everyone in real estate should aspire too, I have been a real estate agent for 12 years in Newport Beach CA and have yet to work with better people. Thank you for all your hard work, diligence and follow up.
The Windsor is a nice little building very conveniently located in Waikiki across from the Ilikai and Hilton Hawaiian Village. Walking distance from all the shops entertainment and dining.
The building its self is older but well maintained. Unit 2604 was a nice, comfortable, clean unit with great views and good amenities.
I would rent it again should the need arise.
The whole process of dealing with HVP was so great that I would never work with anyone else. The landlord is lucky to have you.
I spent more than a month at Windsor #2604 and It was perfect. The apartment is clean, beautiful, cozy, fully equipped and met all of my needs, actually exceeded them!
The condo is really nice as well.
Good security system, nice location, near from restaurants, beach, market, shops.
By the way Hawaii Vacation Properties's staff was as good as the apartment. They were punctual and ready.
If I go back to Hawaii I'll try to rent that apartment again... for sure!
Until we found this place, we stayed at Ilikai 2 bdrm: a beautiful ocean view condo. However, we love this place so much that we are planning to coming back here for a month & half yearly for the next 10 years at least. Why? Because, first of all we like the security they offer. Secondary, the spaciousness: living area upstairs and bedrooms downstairs set up is perfect for us. Thirdly the parkings. We always rent two cars so it's perfect. And the amenity: rooftop terrace, exercise room, pool etc. are also plus. We highly recommend this place.... except middle of November to around Christmas because we'll be there. LOL
This was our third visit to Oahu, Hawaii, previously we have stayed at a hotel (Waikiki West) and a condo (Kuhio) both of which were a good standard but this is a class apart. The views are fabulous both from the condo and from the roof terrace, make sure you watch the Hilton fireworks on a Friday night from up there. The condo is spacious, on 2 floors it was comfortable for 5 of us for a month, tv in nearly every room, well appointed kitchen, plenty of bedding and towels, useful beach chairs and beach towels supplied as well. Two parking places is useful as Waikiki parking can be expensive and in short supply, the pool while not deep is in a lovely setting with plenty of seating and the roof terrace is just beautiful, the views, the seating, the bbq area and facilities up there make it a special extra to the property. A five minute walk takes you to the Ala Moana Beach Park which is lovely, not as busy as main Waikiki, stunning view, nice beach and pleasant to swim in. Just down the block is a Food Pantry which had a good choice and was convenient if not wanting a Walmart trip. As I`m writing this I wish it didn`t sound like just a list of good points and that I could convey a feeling to you, because the condo was the best surprise to us, the pictures don`t do it justice, to have breakfast sat on bar stools with that view, to bbq and watch fireworks on the roof terrace, even walking into the building past the waterfall, crossing the bridge over the pond full of carp, The Windsor made Hawaii even more magical for us, we adore it and hence our third trip but this condo was outstanding, classy, elegant, stunning views, we highly recommend to anyone visiting Oahu. One tip I would say is go exploring, there is so much more to Oahu than Waikiki, a beautiful island and a fabulous trip. Hawaii Vacation Properties who handle the condo were a pleasure to deal with and i would use them again both for this property or any other, good service, prompt responses and a smile, what more could you ask for.
