Wonderful Place to Stay

We really like the location of the condo. Lovely View being 20 floors up, very private, close to activities, and easy access to the laundry room! I enjoyed having the Valet for the car. The room was very comfortable. We did not cook so I can't say much about the kitchen but it seemed well stocked and nice to have a full size refrigerator for leftovers from the neighboring restaurants and fresh fruits to enjoy on the balcony with a gorgeous view of the sunset every night. The restaurant downstairs is a very good breakfast place and I liked having a convenience store in the building as well.

We had a wonderful stay at the Ilikai in July 2018. Centrally located with easy access to bus stops and walking distance to Ala Moana shopping center. The room itself had a large deck with amazing views over the marina and ocean. We were a family of 2 Adults and 3 teenagers. Had 2 double beds and a comfortable firm sofa bed. Was cosy but very achievable. Kitchen well appointed with a very large fridge. Will definitely stay again.

Great location - lovely hotel - but the room was a little dated. Could do with new pillows and linen and towels just to give it a bit more or a comfortable feeling. But overall - it was a great holiday and great way to enjoy the balcony - and the 4th of July fireworks - just PERFECT.
Such a lovely new of the marina and the beach - sunsets every might.

This place is amazing! The view is spectacular. The sunsets are beautiful and the location is perfect. It is within a 15 min walk to Waikiki Beach and shops. There is also a less frequented beach that is just as wonderful (with less people) within a 5 min walk. We were also able to find a lot of wonderful food options all within walking distance. My only cons (which really aren't issues): how difficult it was to find an outlet and that the pool closes at 7:30pm. The room was very clean, comfortable, and well-stocked. I would 100% stay here again.

I stayed for 10 nights from March 11.
Room No. 2002 can accommodate a maximum of 5 people. There are 2 double beds and 1 sofa bed. The room is large. Kitchen and washroom are not wide and cramped.
The good part of Room No. 2002 is convenient because it is close to coin laundry, elevator and garbage storage space. Even though the scenery is the best. I am impressed.
I can rest assured that the position of the room is such that it can not be seen from other rooms exactly. The location of the room is higher than the next modern hotel, Ilikai Marina, so you can enjoy the scenery far away.
Kitchen facilities are perfect. I do not feel comfortable. The amount of towels provided is also sufficient. Although it is only shower room, it is wide and easy to use.
There is a large chest and storage is no problem. There is a vacuum cleaner. I do not feel inconvenienced to live.
Our family always stayed at Royal Kuhio but we will stay at this condo from next time. It is an 8-minute walk to the Ala Moana Center and an 18-minute walk to Waikiki's International Market Place. It is a pleasant feeling when walking to the direction of Waikiki along the beach on the Hilton side.
This condo is recommended for those who feel wondering Waikiki is a bit tired.
Although the room is non-smoking, it is convenient to leave the hotel lobby and watch the yacht harbor and have a place to suck in a relaxed mood. There is convenience store, and there is Nippon car hire in hotel and rental car in Discovery Bay in front of you.
The bus stop is also in front of the hotel. Anyway it's convenient to do anything.
It is a wonderful condo that I'm thinking about starting my study with my wife next year. It is recommended.

We would definitely stay in this suite again. Although we had a bit of difficulty to begin with (our taxi driver dropped us at the Ilikai Marina rather than the Ilikai Hotel - take note that these are different properties a block apart!) after that everything was just wonderful, and the photos on the website really don't do it justice. The property has great views of the marina and beach, was clean and tidy and had everything we needed. We would have preferred a king or queen sized bed rather than the two doubles in the room, and definitely recommend the owner purchase a new ironing board (which was broken and unusable) but everything else was just wonderful and the hotel is in a great location with trolleys and tours stopping right outside. Or, if you prefer to walk down to Waikiki Beach this is only about 20 mins away and a lovely beachside walk. Once again we would definitely recommend this suite!

We had a really great time staying at the Ilikai, the price is perfect for a condo in this area, the view is super and the Waikiki beach is within a twenty-minute walking distance, in fact, a lot of the popular tourist spots are all within walking distance. It would be great if we could be recommended with some tips on where to visit or good places to eat since we stayed in an Airbnb and expected a bit more hospitality, but it does not really affect the fact that this place is already a huge bargain. the room is not new, but overall cozy and clean. Kitchen comes with sufficient utilities. Would definitely recommend!

This was a great condo. The location is great. It is away from the busy Waikiki beach but still has fantastic beach and lagoon facilities. It is also very close to the Aloa Moana center for shopping.Loved having our own kitchen as well.Condo was clean and tidy. Would definitly recommend.

What a Great View!! We got to see a luau every night on the rooftop of the conference center to the left of the balcony...what a treat! Also, the lagoon, the ocean view and the fireworks from the lagoon was just Great!!

Thanks for a great vacation stay. The family enjoyed the rest. It is a good location and kids had a blast. Near by the lagoon to go swimming. The place met all expectations. Loved the view and nearby lagoon. We would consider staying again!

We arrived late at night so the surprise of the perfect view in the morning confirmed that this was the perfect place to stay in Waikiki. The apartment was more than we expected: clean, well furnished. and everything that one could possibly need. The location was unbeatable with easy access to everything and of course the Ilikai hotel offered great dining and shopping access. Great beaches so close that you could go down for a short time or the entire day. The balcony was amazing and the perfect place to have meals and enjoy the sunset. We will definitely book this apartment again and have told family and friends about this find! Thanks for making our first retirement vacation memorable.

Great stay! Loved the view from 2002 - Waikiki Marina, Ocean, Magic Island, Sunset - excellent view. HVP was very accommodating as we arrived in Hawaii early and HVP was able to provide a suite until we moved to another prebooked suite. The lanai is great as it is mostly in shade all day and very comfortable to sit out on. Gets sun around 4 pm but still has partial shade. Street noise is negligible from Suite 2002. A great location and great condo.

Great location and wonderful view of the marina. Everything is within a 15 minute walk. Had problems with the air conditioner and it was fixed the first day we were there. Would reserve again.

Balcony is west facing. Very nice sunset view but too hot to stay outside in the afternoon. But morning breakfast out on the balcony was great. Can easily hit two poke stops from the balcony. Unit is clean. More power outlets will be great. With more than 5 devices that need to be charged each night, just 2 outlets isn't enough. Beds are too soft to my liking. Valet parking is $28 a day. Or park at the back of the hotel for $1/hr. Just walk up the back stairs and you're at the hotel.

Great stay. Everything you needed was provided including beach towels. The view was exactly as pictured. The location at the beginning of Waikiki is great, but some of the restaurants and shopping is a decent walk away, but the walk along the beach is great. This was also a stop for many of the tour companies so all we had to do was walk down to the road for pick up. The only difference between the pictures was some of the furniture (Which I assume was replaced with newer furniture)

Ilikai 2002
Our stay was due to a family member being in ICU at Queens Medical Center. So although not a vacation or happy, restful time, the beauty and peace provided by having a home at this wonderful condo was incredible. Thank you so much for a wonderful stay. We all found peace and calm at this condo. It was well furnished, spacious but compact, very nicely decorated and laid out. Having a kitchen was great. It has a beautiful view of the harbor, beaches and distant west coast of Oahu. You can see the surf break "Ala moana bowls" (always nice for a surfer
We were all very impressed with this condo and look forward to trying to stay here again. Mahalo for helping us with a nice place to stay at a very difficult time.

Room 2002 at the Ilikai was wonderful for our seven day stay. A well equipped apartment with amazing views, and very private from other rooms.
The Pool at the Ilikai is great, big and deep, never felt overcrowded, the pictures don't do it justice.
Good amenities onsite with a convenience store, coffee shop that does delish paninis and several restaurants.
Value for money I think you'd be hard pressed to find anything better - ocean views, good location, comfortable bed, large room with sofa and full kitchen, plus generous bathroom.
I highly recommend the Ilikai and room 2002, definitely would stay again.

We loved it! We enjoyed watching the sunset every evening on the lanai. The security coded door made it very easy to check in and out. The suite was perfect for a family of four. I was also nice to have the cooler and chairs to take to the beach. We are ready to go back and stay longer!

Suite 2002 was spotlessly clean with everything you could need provided (apart from shower gel, not big deal, so bring your own if you prefer it to soap). The views over the marina are amazing. This unit does not face the Hilton, but we weren't there on a Friday night so it didn't worry us. As other reviewers have stated the Ilikai is convenient to shops, restaurants, cafes, beaches, buses etc., so is perfect in every way. We thought being on the 20th floor we might have had to wait for the elevators, but this was not the case as there are 5 elevators plus 2 extra for use when you come back from the beach or pool. We did not use the pool, but passes were provided if needed. The laundry room was convenient and the keyless entry was great. It was great to have free wifi. The fridge and the oven are huge, if you plan to cook (I didn't ...as hey...I was on holiday!) Compared to other accommodation in Hawaii the rates of this suite were definitely value for money. I would definitely recommend Ilikai Suite 2002.

We had a fantastic stay in room 2002. Excellent location, excellent view and room. Loved sitting in the lanai just watching, and soaking up the relaxing atmosphere. This property ticked all the boxes for our family. Very tidy and clean. Very minor suggestions : be nice to have smaller glassware for the kids drinks, 2 pots were burnt on the base ( we just didn't use them) and should be replaced. We definitely would stay here again (we came all the way from New Zealand). Excellent communication with Kat.

This unit was as good as it could get for the price, location and spectacular sunset views. We stayed here for 7 nights and everything is within walking distance including the Ala Moana Shopping Center, The Hilton Village and Hotel which includes their Lagoon, great restaurants and their amazing Luau which I HIGHLY recommend. You can also walk to the Marina and catch the Sunset Cocktail Cruise. As far as the cleanliness of the unit goes, it's above standard and fairly modern. I would definitely stay here again.

This was our first trip to Hawaii and a first booking through a third party accomodation provider. I have to say that both have been seamless. Hawaii Vacation Properties were easy and simple to deal with. Communication was good and the booking process is real easy. We stayed in room 2002 which overlooks the Marina and you get stunning sunsets every evening. The room was clean and tidy. All mentioned inclusions were all there and the best addition for us was the free Wifi! The only reason I did not give 5 stars, is that some parts of the unit need some attention but nothing that takes away from the cleanliness and ambience. The Ilikai is in a great location I think, as its away from the hustle and bustle of Waikiki. If you need to get around, there is a bus stop out the front that is well serviced. The Ala Moana shopping centre is very close to walk to as well and a few restaurants nearby. Overall we thoroughly enjoyed our time at the Ilikai and Honolulu. We travelled as a family of 3.

Wonderful unit, great location, exceptional views. Only thing keeping it from being 5 Stars was the smoker on their balcony 2 floors down. Their smoke kept us from our balcony for our first week. We complained on multiple occasions but this person "Had to be caught in the act".
Awesome sunsets and great views of all the naval jets taking off and landing. Grocery store within 5 minute walk, Ala Moana beach and shopping centre within walking distance. Fireworks next door and Hula show right downstairs on Fridays.
Well appointed unit, you'll want for not!
Response: We are happy you enjoyed your stay but we are also sorry for your inconvenience. Thank you for reporting the incidents to Security which proceeded to handle the \"House Rule Breaker\". The Ilikai House rules do not permit smoking on the lanais but occasionally there is a rule breaker and Security do need to be notified by the guests so they can investigate. Fortunately the Ilikai has round the clock 24/7 Security and quickly respond to our guests. The Home Owner\'s Association have also been notified.

The condo was just as described and had everything we needed. As stated in other reviews, the beach is just a couple of minutes walk, and it is a nice calm beach. Easy to dip or swim in. The condo is in a great location and the bus stop is right out front. We took The Bus to the other end of Waikiki and took a leisurely stroll back to the condo, stopping at various places to shop, eat, drink, see entertainment and watch the sunset. The condo is also close to Ala Moana shopping center and easy access to the freeway. Whether you rent a car or take a bus, it is all very easy and accessible from this condo. The building itself is very nice. The lobby has lots of information, the people and very helpful and there is a general store and a dress shop. They also have a hula show during the week. We went there for our annual "Best Friends" trip and the condo was perfect. I would recommend this condo for girls trips or for couples. More than 3 people and it would get too crowded. The bathroom was spacious and had plenty of towels and misc. supplies. The condo had everything we needed. Great location, ample supplies, nice people, great views. I would rent it again!

We had a wonderful experience at this suite. We've stayed here before but truly enjoyed the views and all the pluses that come with renting from this owner. Beach towels, chairs and cooler bag are a plus. We will definitely come back. One more thing, the coconut lime body lotion left for us and mac nut hershey kisses....love love!

We have just come back from our best holiday ever, staying in a condo at the Ilikai. We agreed that probably 50% of the pleasure of our holiday was from the condo itself. The view from the lanai was amazing and there was always something happening. Boats coming and going, planes taking off, etc. It was private out there and we ate all our meals on the lanai.
 
We like to self cater so the big fridge and well equipped kitchen worked well. It was about a 10 minute walk to Foodlands in the Ala Moana mall and about a 25 minute walk to the Food Pantry in Waikiki.
 
Not needing a key or swipe card for entry was great too.
 
The pool and pool area was beautiful, all towels supplied and the most comfortable layout chairs we have experienced.
 
We were handy for the bus, the mall, the main street, everything was close.
 
2002 was great as it was very quiet, the sun didn't come on the lanai until about 2pm, meaning we could sit out there comfortably and then go back out for dinner around 7pm and watch the sun go down.
 
We will be back!!
