Great week at the Ilikai!

My teenage kids and I stayed in unit 1804 which has a tremendous view of the Ala Wai Boat Harbor - it was a highlight to start each morning and end each day on the lanai watching the boats, ships, airplanes and of course the sunrises and sunsets--please consider adding a pair of binoculars to your units, that would be a wonderful addition. The unit is not as updated as some (appliances/furnishings), but was perfectly adequate for our needs. Upon arrival we did have a problem with locating how to turn on the shower (one of those pesky little pull-down numbers on the bottom of the faucet that we clearly did not see) and a shortage of towels, only two beach towels and 2 bath towels were provided when there should have been three beach and 6 bath (two for each person in party). it did take a while to get additional towels, but we did get them. The kitchen was well stocked, although some basic spices (besides salt and pepper) would be nice. Very easy key less entry (once you get the hang of turning the locking mechanism). Really enjoyed the Ilikai facilities and it is in a great location with so many activities nearby, restaurants, beaches, etc. within walking distance. The pool closes at 7:30 which is pretty early, but not a big deal. Can't wait to go back - Mahalo!

This is a great place and fantastic location! Has everything you need. Views of the marina and beyond are great! So close to the lagoon and beach. There is a pool on level 2 as well as ground level. We were unfortunately unable to check-in at the check-in time as it was still being cleaned. Apart from that, we'd happily stay here again with no hesitation.

This studio was much larger than others we've seen. It has a comfortable king size bed, large bathroom, nice lanai, cozy living room, and a full kitchen. The unit was very clean and well kept. The kitchen could use a little love but it had everything we needed and everything was functional. Although we didn't use the outdoor items, everything from snorkel equipment to beach chairs to beach umbrella's were available. The Ilikai building was equally nice. Shops, a nice pool area, an open bar/restaurant, and a great little coffee shop (no need for starbucks!). Going for a beach walk on the board walk was right outside the door. And if you like Marina's, this one is big. We watched the sailboats go in and out - for some reason this is very relaxing. The location is within miles of diamond head, Pearl Harbor, and all the shopping and bar/restaurants you could imagine. We took a charter to Polynesia Culture Center and the shuttle picked us up right outside the building. I would recommend this unit to anyone - and I would stay here again.

The room was clean and contained everything (with the exception of a room safe) my wife and I needed for an enjoyable stay in Waikiki. Although the colour scheme and kitchen cabinets are dated, we found everything we needed for a relaxing stay. Beach toys, chairs, umbrella, and towels were a welcome bonus. Air conditioning and wifi worked great and the view from the lanai was exceptional. I would recommend this condo to everyone. Mahalo

This unit was very clean and came with all the beach amenities we needed. (Chairs, umbrella, towels, toys) The kitchen had everything we needed but the cabinets are a little dated. King bed was very comfortable. My wife would have appreciated a drying rack and a full length mirror. We would recommend this unit to everyone.

We had a thoroughly enjoyable stay in this room at the Ilikai. The amenities of the room were very good and those of the hotel were exceptional. The view from our balcony was stunning.The only comments for improvement that I would offer are; t he air conditioning unit rattles every thirty seconds or so which can be disconcerting while trying to sleep. Additionally, there are areas which could use a paint touch up.We would definitely consider re renting this unit.Mahalo and Aloha

What a great place to stay. Thoroughly enjoyed it. Our room was clean and spacious for a 1bedroom apartment. The view was amazing. Walking distance to ala Moana and other places plus the bus stop was just in front of the hotel. This was my second time staying here but my partners first. We will definitely be back at the Ilikai. Thank you for making our stay comfortable and relaxing.

My husband and I were celebrating our 63rd wedding Anniversary,
We enjoyed the suite the sun everyday and a dinner on the 30th floor at Sanrento's.
Was a great location and we used the local buses to explore.
The hula music and fireworks were great , wonderful holiday Mahalo Shirley and George.

We loved our stay in #1804. It's true that the lanai is too warm in the afternoon, but it's lovely in the morning and the sunsets are wonderful. The room was comfortable and clean, beach towels and chairs provided. The kitchen was well-stocked. We've been coming to the Ilikai for years and we look forward to returning. So close to Ala Moana Beach!

I really enjoyed my stay in suite 1804 -- the location and quality of the property is outstanding. Beautiful view of ocean and marina with a gorgeous sunset guaranteed almost every evening. Weekends a bit noisy but the lanai is spacious and though you get direct sunshine in the afternoon, still enjoyable. Pretty much every thing you need is included in the full kitchen; would have liked a vegetable steamer basket and cheese slicer, otherwise everything I needed was there. They even thoughtfully included a basin to help facilitate dish washing (no dishwasher). Dish soap, paper towels thoughtfully included.The Ilikai is walking distance from the Ala Moana shopping mall and the incredibly wonderful Ala Moana beach park. There is a Starbucks, and Food Pantry market near by and many other useful restaurants and venues. The elevators at the Ilikai are incredibly efficient and work very well. My one gripe is that the floor was not very clean when I arrived, but overall, I was very pleased with my stay. Aloha.

Condo is great and location is fantastic. Also the views are great. Condo has everything we needed. Bed was very comfy after those busy days. Everything was very clean. This is the second time in this condo and we hope to have a third

Rupa (Hawaii) This condo is good and is in a reasonably good condition.View is exactly what you see in the pic.Location is very handy to the beach,lagoon for the kids ,restaurants and the mall.Full kitchen provided ,pretty much everything you would want for your stay.

1804 was truly an original in its decor and presentation and was absolutely fine for us--we thoroughly enjoyed out time --and as we say each time we will return --and book thru HVP-

The views are wonderful, overlooking the marina and ocean. There are many shops nearby ranging from ABC stores, a food pantry or the Ala Moana mall a few blocks away. The kitchen is functional and there is a laundry near the elevators which requires $2.50 in quarters. The unit has a phone for USA calls which is useful for tour bookings. This unit is quite sunny in the afternoons but the AC is efficient. There is a large refrigerator, oven and a microwave. No dishwasher but that's no problem. There was salt and pepper but no other staples. There is also a couple of beach chairs and mats that we didn't use but might be useful.It's a short walk to the lagoon or beach.I would recommend this location and unit to any couple. We stayed for 8 nights and were very comfortable.

Stayed couple evenings at Princess & Hilton with decent rooms & views--however, the Ilikai room was the best--views, amenities, staff, et al. Romantic rooftop restaurant & great food downstairs @ Tropics. Will stay here anytime. 'Old school' nicer than the over-priced others.

We had a nice staying. The Unit was easy to access for surf and shopping. no fire work view but we had gorgeous sunset. One thing,It might be better to change showerhead.

By Trinh (Seattle, WA USA) My husband & I stayed here with our infant baby for a week. The inside is very modern & nice condo with a view of the marina. Very convenient to everything. Only thing is that there's no counter space in the bathroom. Otherwise we really enjoyed our stay.

We picked Ilikai Suites because of the convenient location. The resort had a convenient store, shops and restaurants. Our daughter enjoyed swimming pool there. Our unit had a great view of Marina/ocean and gorgeous sunset. It had a plenty of storage space, and had almost everything we needed. It would have been better if it had a full length mirror, another nice stand, and one more bar stool, but really no complaints! We would stay here again, if we return to Waikiki! Mahalo for a wonderful stay!

Stayed at Ilikai for the week and the room we had 1804 was awesome. Great facilities, well kept and presentable apartment with great views across the marina. Hotel is a good spot to go across to main shopping mall Ala moana centre and only 10-15 min walk along the beack into waikiki heart.
Was great staying a little away from the hussle and bussle and i would highly recommend ilikai as a hotel to base yourself. The Pink Line shuttle stops right outside and takes you into waikiki for $2 each. Close to good restaurants like red lobster, outback steakhouse, bubba gump.
Valet parking was exceptional service also,

Property Visited: Ilikai Hotel & Suites 1804
How we love Hawaiian Vacation Rentals and the great deal we can get at the Ilikai Hotel and Suites. This time we had Ocean views and found it very interesting and beautiful. Although we could not see the fireworks we saw the Hula show downstairs and could have just gone down to the patio to view the fireworks. The condo was clean and had everything we needed including items we may need for the beach. The lagoon is close by for swimming and there is Magic Island and Ala Moana Park beach all within walking distance. I was in a mobility scooter and found it very easy to get around even to the shops close by, Ross's, Walmart, TJ Maxx, Famous Footwear etc. Food Pantry on Hobron is a great store for essentials. Cinnamons downstairs and Aroma Caffe are great. All in All a week in Paradise and cannot wait to return.

I would highly recommend this condo to anyone. It was absolutely wonderful! Amenities above and beyond what we expected: hair dryer, beach chairs, beach bag, beach towels, float board. It was truly a highlight of our time in Hawaii---the condo! Thank you so much.

Had a great stay at the Ilikai #1804. The condo was clean, well apportioned and the bed was very comfortable. The sunset views from the lanai were amazing. I highly recommend this condo.

The condo was beautifully renovated, and pretty close to main attractions. Ala Moana around 5/10 mins walk and Waikiki/main shopping street around 15 mins. The bed is very comfy and really big!
The view from the balcony is superb, had several beautiful sunset sitting on the balcony. Overall a wonderful stay!

Great location with views over the boat harbor to the sea, magic sunsets. Just several small points - some coffee mugs would be good and bedside lamps for both sides of the bed. Better sealing on the bottom of the door would stop warm air from the hallway getting into the unit. The beach seats and bag very useful. Overall nice unit and good value for money.

The condo (really a studio) was neat and clean, bright and cheerful. Fantastic view of the marina with sunsets to die for. Would I stay here again? Yes. Would I recommend it to family or friends? Yes. That said, in a perfect world there would be an exhaust fan in the bathroom, a remote for the TV, and the kitchen towels would be thrown out. Minor issues. As I wrote above, I would certainly stay here again.
Response: We are glad you enjoyed your stay. Regarding the bathroom fans, all the Ilikai suites have a passive vents instead of exhaust fans. Please do not hesitate to call us if you have a question or are not satisfied with something. We are local and our office is across the street. ( our phone number is on the back of the door, on the Refrigerator and next to the phone) We have staff in the building almost everyday and we can take care of any minor issues very quickly. Sometimes it is as easy as just troubleshooting over the phone. Thank you for your feedback, we really appreciate it.

We stayed more than one month at Ilikai 1804. We love the condo. The kitchen is very nice with a rice cooker and a mixer. We cooked breakfast everyday and very convenient. There is a shop at downstairs near lobby. Daily commodities are enough to buy at there. We buy fresh fruits and vegetables at food pantry just one block away. Ana moana mall is two blocks away. The bus station is in front of the hotel gate. The view at lanai is amazing. It faces to the ocean and also can watch the sunset. Sometimes we see whole rainbows at lanai. It appears above Ala moana park. It was a wonderful experience to live in the condo.

Property Visited: Ilikai Suite #1804
It was our first time in Waikiki and did not know what to expect. It was the easiest process to check in and out of the room!! The view is amazing and the condo is furnished with everything you need. The local contact Kat was so nice and was very helpful! The only down falls were limited supplies of toilet paper, paper towels & soap to last 1 week. Pillows were also very flat.
Other than these things, everything else was awesome. We will definitely consider staying here again!!! This location is walking distance to the beach, many restaurants & rental car companies. Tour buses companies also pick you up right in front of the hotel. Can't wait to come back!
