Nice, well-maintained condo with a beautiful view of the marina which turned out to be the PERFECT place to watch the 4th of July Fireworks at Ala Moana Park. Had a great time. Thank you!
Enjoyed our stay in #806 unit, Ilikai Hotel.- Location is great!- Near shops, restaurants, beach, mall- Easy access to trolley- Clean and amenities are good- Nearby parking (Ilikai Marina, accessible thru walkway) is not too expensive ($20 per day)Definitely recommended and definitely will return.
My husband, 2-year-old daughter, mom, brother, and I stayed in condo 815, which has city/mountain view. It was great! Our flight was early and we got to the condo earlier than expected. I had emailed HVP to let them know and that they can charge me the extra fee for early check-in, but they emailed me back and said it was complimentary. How awesome is that! I loved the keyless entry and receiving instructions before my arrival. The condo was very clean! Trust me on this because I took a Clorox wipe to see how much dirt I picked up and there was barely any! Yes, I was pleasantly surprised. 🙂 We stayed for 10 nights and it felt like home. We did run out of toilet paper, but that is always expected with any condo. There were plenty of towels, beach towels, beach chairs, coolers, linen for the sofa bed, extra pillows and blankets, kitchenware and utensils - everything! Well, except for a dishwasher, but that was fine for us. The full size beds were VERY comfortable and the sofa bed was okay. I slept on the sofa bed with my mom and daughter and never woke up with any aches or pain. We've stayed at the Ilikai before (with an ocean view) and the only slight downside with the city/mountain view is the sound of the ambulance going by, but I would stay here again. In my opinion, the Ilikai has the perfect location. It's close to Ala Moana Shopping Center, Don Quijote (went there pretty often for groceries), the lagoon, different restaurants/bars. The bus stop is also right outside. There are two pools - one for swimming and the other (newer) one is for sunbathing and great for small children. HVP provides the pool pass. Overall, we would stay here again. Great location, great condo, and great experience with HVP!
Thoroughly enjoyed our 6 nights in Ilikai 1820. It was value for money and worked for our family of four with teenage sons. We utilised the sofa bed and it was surprisingly comfortable. Nice linens we're provided and ample bathroom and beach towels. Great views from the lanai and many hours were spent there. Always something to look at and enjoyed watching the Hilton luau most nights.A quick note for the management team, some extra glasses and plates are required. Obviously there have been breakages by guests and there is no longer enough dinner plates for 4 guests let alone 6 which the room can sleep. The apartment was clean and tidy upon arrival (although a clean of the air vent in the shower is definitely required!) and check in information was clear and easy. This is a great condo to stay in and the views are great. We could easily astay here again.
Glad this Guest had a great stay.
The condo sleeps 5 and is equipped for 5. If a Guest wants more inventory, they only need to call. We stock kitchen items.
We stayed for several nights in condo 1102 at Ilikai. The check-in and check-out instructions were very clear and simple to follow. The registration process was smooth and without any hitches. The condo was well maintained with all the necessary amenities. The location was perfect and was closeby to the lagoon at Hilton, the ocean, Magic Island, and Ala Moana Shopping Center. The pool at Ilikai was perfect for both adults and kids to use and there was always someone on hand. The lanai had gorgeous views of the ocean. The condo also had spare chairs and a float to use, which proved to be very handy when heading out to relax by the ocean.Overall, we had a fantastic time and we'll be back again!
The condo is as we expected. The location is really great,we walked to Ala Moana almost everyday as it is only around the corner, you can see it from the hotel entrance.Bus stop is right next to the hotel, quite a few restaurants nearby.the staff from HVP were really helpful, they always respond promply and let us check in early at 9am.Will definitely recommend and will return.
My husband and I celebrated my retirement from teaching? We were very pleasantly surprised with our unit as it is so conveniently located close to everything. Our unit overlooked the marina, Cinnamon Cafe/Bistro, and the pools of the Modern Hotel. We loved the amenities of the kitchen, the lanai, & were grateful for the air conditioning. We also loved how we were able to view the sunset each night as the unit faced West. Transportation (busses, trolleys, taxis, shuttles, & special tour busses ) stop right out front and the local food pantry was just a few short blocks away to purchase groceries, and sundries. The reason we gave the unit a 4 as opposed to a 5 was because of the bathroom, and when we got there my husband stepped on a piece of glass which was perhaps overlooked or unnoticed when housekeeping cleaned. He was barefooted. Also u dear the bed there were big balls of dust. And the toilet could stand to be updated. Otherwise, it was a most excellent unit. The lanai had a table with 4 chairs, and 2 comfortable rattan chairs and small wicker table in between. Another provision which we appreciated were the 2 beach chairs neatly folded up beach chairs and a big beach bag? Mahalo.
We are glad the Guest had a good experience.
As mentioned in the instructions, condo info sheet and confirmation, Guests are to call if there was anything missed. Daily we have staff in the Ilikai who can respond same day.
We hope to be offering this Guest a Returning Guest Discount soon for their next trip.
This was our twelfth holiday in Hawaii, most being in the Waikiki area and was our first time in condo style accommodation. We have been using resort type hotels on previous holidays.I found the booking process easy and seamless, we were well aware of what we had to do on arrival and to be able to go directly to our condo after our flight was a godsend. The condo is great, the facilities are great, the lanai is large and the views from the lanai are superb. We were overlooking the lagoon, the pools (Ilikai and Hilton) the ocean and the luau, great views and entertainment to while the time away while having breakfast or lunch. The Friday night firework display was superb, we watched it from the lanai and we were at eye level with the exploding fireworks, just brilliant. The owners have thoughtfully provided a box full of beach equipment, umbrella, chairs, games etc. There is no need to bring your own.If you want ocean views, good accommodation, a well situated building, then The Ilikai and especially #1938 is for you.We will be returning.
I've stayed in five units at the Ilikai and this was the very best. It has the Hawaiian décor I want giving the feeling of the islands, a fan over the bed with the air conditioner high on the living room wall not behind furniture and curtains (both with remote controls), and the perfect view are just a few of the reasons this unit is perfect.
We took two teenaged girls and it was perfect! We gave them the master bedroom and they loved having their own bathroom and lanai. This was spacious, clean, beautifully decorated and very close to Hawaiian Village. We could let the girls go explore without worry. Watched King Kahmehameha annual parade from the girls lanai! Can't see fireworks because of building to left but the beach was close and we watched them from there.
